Code by Fab The other sheep of
your heart.
I looked for the expression "other sheep" (I used the spelling found in the Hebrew NT by Franz Delitzsch) in the Tanach, and guess where its third lowest skip (and only extendable occurrence) shows up in Ezekiel 37:24: And David my servant shall be king over them; and they all shall have one shepherd
There are only 4 places where the expression "one shepherd" shows up in the entire Bible (OT + NT), and 2 are found in Ezekiel, the very book where the prophecy Jesus was referring to can be found. In chapter 34:23 the same spelling as the one used in the Hebrew NT for "one shepherd" is also used:
Ezekiel 34:23: And I will set up one shepherd over them, and he shall feed them, even my servant David; he shall feed them, and he shall be their shepherd.
In the NT it can only be found in:
John 10:16: And I have other sheep, which are not out of this fold; I must bring them also, and they shall hear My voice; and they shall become one flock with one shepherd |
