Code by Fab The Second Death is wicked. Another
one, inspired by a discussion and using the expression "second
death" found in the Book of Revelation:
Revelation
2:11: "He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the
assemblies. He who overcomes shall not be hurt by the second
death."
Revelation 20:6: "Blessed and holy is the one who has a part in the first resurrection; over these the second death has no authority, but they will be priests of God and of Messiah and will reign with Him for a thousand years." Revelation 20:14: "And death and Sheol were thrown into the Lake of Fire. This is the second death, the Lake of Fire." Revelation 21:8: "But for the cowardly and unbelieving and abominable and murderers and fornicators and sorcerers and idolaters and all liars, their part will be in the lake that burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death." I
used the Hebrew spelling found in Franz Delitzsch's version in Rev 20:14:
The longest, and most interesting one, was found in the Aramaic NT (Peshitta). 8 occurrences were expected and 8 were found. The lowest skip was extendable to "from God; be deeply grieved about the 'second death'!" and crossed an interesting verse from the surface text (Mark 9:46): "...in hell/Gehenna; where their worm dies not, and their fire is not extinguished" (see also Isaiah 66:24). The context of this verse is about one of Jesus' teachings: Mark 9:43:
"And if your hand causes you to stumble, cut it off; it is better
for you to enter life maimed, than having your two hands, to go into
Gey-Hinnom, into the inextinguishable fire, The
two other ones were found in the Tanach. The first one was extendable
to "'the second death' of the death (or is the death)",
this is interesting since Rev 20:14 specifies that "death will be
thrown into the Lake of Fire" (= the second death, as is specified
at the end of the verse)". The second one to "'the second death'
is wicked/wickedness". Both terms cross some interesting verses.
