Code by Fab (30/May/2009) The False Prophet
The lowest skip of "the Roman" (הרומאי
in
Hebrew), which
is the name of the last Pope according to Malachy's prophecy: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Prophecy_of_the_Popes#Petrus_Romanus) in
the entire OT, shows up with a skip of -1 entirely embedded in the
expression from the surface text "the prophet who teaches lies"
(in red below, "the Roman" being in blue):
Isa 9:15: "The elder and honorable, he is the head;
and the
prophet who teaches lies, he is the tail."
Isa 9:15 (9:14) זקן ונשׂוא־פנים הוא הראשׁ ונביא מורה־שׁקר הוא הזנב׃ Interestingly, the expression "the false prophet"
is spelled this way in Franz Delitzsch's translation in Hebrew
of the NT:
Rev 16:13: "And I saw come out of the mouth of the
Dragon and out of the mouth of the beast and out of the mouth
of the false
prophet
three unclean spirits like frogs"
Rev 16:13 וארא והנה מפי התנין ומפי החיה ומפי נביא השקר יצאות שלש רוחות טמאות דומת לצפרדעים׃ These
two words also appear in Isaiah 9:15 (or 9:14) -
